This one (1) day reaccreditation course provides participants with the latest updates and requirements for reviewing Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) prepared by individuals holding an Advanced Worksite Traffic Management (AWTM) accreditation. Participants will refresh the skills and knowledge required to monitor the implementation, and or conduct surveillance, of trafic management schemes. The course is delivered face-to-face and includes a combination of classroom-based learning, group activities, and theory-based exercises. Assessment methods include both practical tasks and theory questionnaires.

This level of Main Roads WA accreditation is designed for individuals such as:

Local Government Authorities (LGAs)

Main Roads WA personnel

Approving Officers

Road Authority Approving Personnel

Individuals seeking professional development or refresher training in roles not directly involved in Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) activities

Explain key regulatory and industry changes introduced in the last three years

Identify and interpret updates to legislative resources, including the Main Roads WA Code of Practice for Works on Road & Events and relevant Austroads Guides

Verification of skills to review TMPs prepared by a person holding an AWTM accreditation

Verification of skills to monitor implementation

Verification of skills to undertake surveillance of traffic management schemes.

Competencies

This is a non accredited course, therefore, no nationally recognised Statement of Attainments are included or issued.

AusQ Training is a Main Roads WA approved training provider, therefore, upon successful completion of the course, participants will also receive a digital Main Roads WA Advanced Worksite Traffic Management  Non-Practitioner (AWTM-NP) accreditation (valid for 3 years). All certification records are issued in digital format and will be sent through via email.

Days Time
1 day 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (please arrive 15 minutes prior course times)

Participants are required to:

Provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI)

Have sufficient Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills as training will involve reading work instructions, reviewing Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes, writing safety documentation and compliance audit reports. Participant suitability is reviewed prior to enrolment, with alternative training options discussed where required.

Complete a pre-enrolment form and LLND review to confirm you meet the required skill levels

Provide photographic identification upon arrival at training course (eg driver’s licence, passport, etc)

Have documentary evidence of at least 1 year practical experience in a traffic management review role or similar

All required information and evidence should be submitted with your enrolment at least ten (10) days before the course start date. Enrolments are finalised once eligibility has been confirmed through the LLND review. This process also supports the issuing of Main Roads WA accreditation upon successful course completion.

Yes, you can still complete this training.

It is a requirement to hold or have held a Main Roads WA Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) accreditation or an Australian Qualification Frameworks compliant Statement of Attainment in ‘Implement Traffic Management Plan’. You will be required to supply evidence of your previous certification records upon enrolment. If you have undertaken this training previously with AusQ Training we will have that record already on file.

Yes, there are no pre requisites to complete this course.

For this course, there are various resources you are required to print and bring along during your classroom sessions. We provide specific details upon enrolment for you to prepare and get ready for training.

Yes, this is a course pre-entry requirement. Some of the required resources are a licensed resource therefore we are unable to supply copies due to copyright laws. If you require assistance with printing any of the free downloadable resources, our team can assist, however additional costs will be applicable to cover printing and collating costs. We require at least ten (10) working days’ notice to prepare these resources.
