Our White Card construction induction training course is designed to train participants in how to carry out tasks safely whilst working in the construction industry. The course provides participants personal awareness of occupational health and safety legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry. Under the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations 1996, individuals must hold a construction induction certificate (White Card) to undertake construction work at a workplace. This face to face course includes informative videos and audio, with multiple-choice questions to test your understanding and deliver all the information required to be prepared for work on site. Please note: As per the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulations and Safety (DMIRS) requirements, WorkSafe Construction Induction Training (CIT) cards can only be issued to candidates who are physically located in Western Australia at the time of their assessment. Therefore, you must be based in Western Australia in order to obtain the WA White Card via this course.

Pre Entry Requirements

Participants are required to:

  • Provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • A driver’s license, passport or other form of photo-identification
  • Have good English literacy, numeracy and reading skills. Training will involve recognising numbers commonly used in safety signs, listening and following to instructions to identify key safety information, communicating to another person about a construction problem or hazard, reading pictorial safety instructions and problem solving to select risk control measures

No GST for Nationally Accredited Training.

Construction Training Fund (CTF) Subsidy

Metropolitan Rate $69.30 pp – You pay $29.70 pp

Regional Rate $79.20 pp – You pay $19.80 pp

Note: This subsidy is available to eligible participants only.

“The Construction Training Fund provides funding support for training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the support of the Construction Training Fund in reducing the costs of training for eligible workers.” 

No other government training entitlements and subsidy arrangements are currently available for this course.
