What Happened
On Tuesday 27 February 2024, a road worker died after being fatally struck by a ute that rolled backwards, pinning her between two vehicles in Dandenong North, Melbourne.
Police said the incident happened just after 7.30am, the worker, a 55-year-old woman, was crushed when she became pinned between the ute and a truck.
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries, however later died.
The truck driver, a 51-year-old man from Boronia, was uninjured.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated,” police said.
